I bought a used MacBook with a dead hard drive.

How can I get the serial number of the macbook with no hard drive and no receipt?

Search the outside of the computer's case for it.

I believe the plastic Macbook serial number is inside the battery bay. Remove the battery and look there. http://youtu.be/TmXdkEYyTgA
